Princeton
New Jersey
An absolute favorite of ours - located on Princeton's campus but open to the general public, this former train station turned buzzing small plate restaurant has as much character as it has flavor packed into it. Former station pews make up the bench seating, while the old timetable boards have been converted into menus on the wall - both of which pay homage to this establishment's roots as the station to The Dinky train that took students from campus to Princeton Junction station. The menu is comprised mainly of small shareables and flatbreads that mix different cuisines and somehow all taste as good as the next - the french onion soup dumplings, pretzels, lobster rolls, burger and mac and cheese bites are some of our favorites. The Dinky's bar itself is also the perfect place to meet a date or friends, even without an accompanying meal.
