One of our two new favorite restaurants (see "Shadowbrook" for the other) - the Sardine Factory absolutely blew us away and has had us dreaming of a swift return. When you first step foot into this unassuming space, you're greeted by warm waitstaff and typical restaurant decor, but as you have the opportunity to explore the space further, you'll stumble across a wine cellar, a fireplace dining room fit for a queen and a sensational conservatory that you'll just have to see to believe. The Sardine Factory's wonder goes far beyond their architecture, as the food + wine offerings are sure to amaze. 2,000 labels and over 20,000 bottles are just some of the highlights from their drink menu and the food is to.die.for. Located right off of Cannery Row, the Sardine Factory is THE place to go on a romantic date night or for a special occasion - consider pairing it with a trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium Big Sur, or the 17 Mile Drive.
