One of our favorite places to stretch our likes and take in some of the most scenic, rocky shorelines you can find. We don't typically recommend making solo trips out into the wilderness but this place is the exception - solitude, peace, nature are just some of the feelings that Point Lobos provokes. Dramatic ocean views, barking sea lions, cypress trees groves are just some of the nature that you'll find here. It's easily located a few miles past Monterey + Carmel and the first major stopping point when heading south down the Pacific Coast Highway into Big Sur which helps to make it an easy addition to your next Big Sur or Carmel outing.
