Our favorite place in the neighborhood, we frequent Liberty State Park almost daily and are still always finding new things to discover and ways to spend our time. The park serves as an oasis for Hudson County and New Yorkers alike, and of course as a gateway to some of our nation's richest history. Located along the Hudson River, Liberty State Park brings with it sweeping views of Lower Manhattan, the State of Liberty and Ellis Island. Walking/Biking trails, playgrounds, multiple ferries, the historic central railroad of New Jersey terminal, wildlife trails, Liberty Science Center, and the Empty Sky Memorial are just some of the many ways that you can spend your time exploring this gem. We love to stroll along the pedestrian promenade for sunset, or enjoy a picnic overlooking the water. The park also hosts one of two ferry departure ports for Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, as well as two waterfront restaurants.
